More Reflected Light

February 1 and settling in to a new room, new year. Though this blog started out writing about my new software venture it’s becoming more about life and day to day, thoughts, reflections. It doesn’t mean no more talk about the app(s), it just means to me another chapter, another reinventing my picture. In a sense it all connects and relates, my music, imagery, coding, all tied together.

I will say as my teenagers are maturing, moving on, it continues to feel everything is passing too quick, grasping at moments, trying to remember those elements of their childhood me as a new dad something I never dreamed or planned would happen. I come to experiences about 10 years later than most and this one no less.

At the same time all these interests and projects keeping me in a circle of creativity which I am much thankful for. It helps with recognizing that my children are yet not her element in this muse albeit a very important one. I used to say all the muses were, one was not more than the other, then that lEd to terrible feelings of guilt yet in a way maybe it’s a balance that I’m still learning to understand. I miss their younger years and at the same time realize it symbolizes my own life and mortality.

All lose rambling in this entry that has nothing to do with software development and possibly everything, depending on how you see it.

I will close with things on the radar are getting ready to record a cd, first focused in several years taking part in the RPMChallenge, feeling more and more this one will be are turn to the guitar and work similar but new to my solo Hegesquework of the 90’s. I working on a podcast release with Paul Muller featuring the work of microtonal composer and drummer Peter Thoegersen and also getting back to the updates on Tips. Stay tuned on all…

Reflected light

Wood and Wire Land

Wood and Wire Land

Funny I began this blog totally as a marketing effort for my launch into mobile app development back in the fall. Though my app and those energies, growth of the ‘ware’ division of the child company Wood and Wire Ware are all still on the radar, with the last few entries and clearly this one no less, there is on the surface a shift in focus but on another level it’s all related.

The Ware effort as explained in an earlier writing grew from my self published music ventures under the moniker of Wood and Wire Music. I have a 30 year history as a composer/acoustic guitarist/multi-instrumentalist in a sound that has ranged from what was known as New Age to the more homogeneous World to the more current New Music. Some of my early material, solo acoustic guitar stuff you can find in iTunes and my newer more experimental material can be heard on SoundCloud at http://soundcloud.com/jimgoodinmusic.

This last couple of weekends in preparation for my son to inherit a room in our apartment that I have occupied I have been downsizing and moving. This room I’ve occupied for 17 years recording and performing my music and working on projects of various kinds. As I have gone through everything, recordings, various mediums, images, photos from years spent doing photography when I lived in Arkansas, letters my now deceased father wrote to me, so many memories have occurred in this room. Many tears have flowed as I’ve mead e the process to exit. Yesterday I sat down and recorded this spontaneous reflection. http://soundcloud.com/jimgoodinmusic/17-years-countless-memories-at.

So this entry as disjointed as I. It was my plan to release a new update to Tips this month as I’ve worked out several new features but in end believe it will have to be next month, all things in time. I can tell you I’m including some extended fields that will be helpful in restaurants and some recommended tip practices and a couple other things. My challenge on it other than time right now, is as with the release getting the rotation right.

Okay time to publish….
