JSON and other news

With juggling several things I come/go with working on my mobile programming meaning I work on something really focused for a few weeks then let it sit for a bit.

In August out of a simple need, lack of a native one on the iPad and inspired to do my own instead of downloading one of several from Apple, I began developing a calculator app and am near publishing. It will be free but with inApp advertising.

And last week I began playing with the idea of getting my current app Tips Across the Waters to offer real time currency updates when connected to the Internet. This has involved learning about JSON, XML based way of how this information is often carried, and how to convert and parse it. I’m making progress and hope to offer it soon. I’m also planning to offer TATW free but with inApp advertising.

The past referenced diabetes logging app is still on my radar but hit an obstacle that I have yet to resolve. Also thinking about a game so lots on my mind of late with this. Stay tuned…
